Picking the Right Hosting Package

Upgrading a shared hosting or VPS plan, for example, is a seamless process and requires no downtime. In order to keep the site online, you’re going to need to upgrade to a dedicated server ASAP. A shared hosting plan is a single user account that is being hosted on a much larger server with many other users and their respective accounts. We offer our shared hosting plans with cPanel, making account management extremely easy. This type of hosting is best for simple, personal sites and blogs. Shared hosting is not meant for production level sites or for individuals who require root access to their account.

VPS accounts are great for developers that require root access to their hosting account. Also known as “semi-dedicated,†this type of hosting service mimics some of the qualities of a dedicated server, only with a smaller price tag. Technically speaking, we use the OpenVZ virtualization software to partition the resources of a much larger main server node. These partitions are the individual VPS accounts. Due to the nature of the provisioning process, these accounts cannot use any more resources than they are allocated. For this reason, we say that VPS accounts are not meant for production level purposes.

Our dedicated server line ranges from entry level to enterprise solutions. The hardware and software options for our dedicated servers are completely customizable in order to fit any need and/or budget. Due to the fact that all of your accounts are hosted on one server without any other users, your exposure to server abuse is extremely limited. Upgrading a cPanel server is relatively seamless and requires no changes in DNS. While any client can sign up for a dedicated server, they are typically used by those who host high traffic sites and whose data needs to have a high degree of redundancy.
