ADDING DOMAINS
To add a domain to your account follow these step by step
instructions below:
1. Make the directory you want the domain to point to using your FTP
program.
Please note that this step must always to carried out first as if
our system cannot find a directory it will by default point the
domain name towards your main htdocs directory
2. Go into domain control and click on the "Add a domain" button.
3. Enter the domain you want to add in the first box without the
www.
4. Select the location on your server where the domain is going to
point. For example if you have made your dir for your domain in
htdocs and called it "domain", you would point it to /htdocs/domain/.
Please note the spelling of the path to the directory must exactly
match the spelling of the directory name on your server.
5. Click on the "Add domain" button, this is all you need to do in
domain control to add a domain.
Please note that once added it take up to 24 hours for our servers
to recognise your domain
6. Now you have added the domain you need to contact you previous
host and get the name transferred over to our name servers.

TROUBLE
SHOOTING DOMAINS
In this section I am going to look at some of the most common
problems users have when using domain control, below are some
frequently asked questions:
Q. I have added a domain in domain control and I have pointed it to
a directory in my space but when I enter the URL it brings up my
htdocs and not the directory
A. Check that the location you have specified in domain control
exactly matches the real path to the domain. If this is correct it
maybe because the directory was not there when you set the domain up
in domain control. If you have just made the directory up you will
need to wait 24 hours so our automated system can find it.
Q. I have added a domain in domain control but when I enter the URL
in my browser it brings up my old site on my old host
A. The reason for this is that the domain is not pointing towards
our name servers, if you have changed the name servers to ours it
maybe that not all Internet servers have updated with your new
information. To solve this wait 24 hours and it should solve its
self.
Q. I have created a sub-domain sub.mydomain.com and I can access it
with http://sub.mydomain.com but not http://www.sub.mydomain.com
A. With the way that we set up sub domains you can only access them
without the www.
